On 30^th May, the “big day” had come for 32 teams from all over Germany: they met for the German final of the Danone Nations Cup - highlight of the annual tournament!

 

 

For the first time, the final took place in a Bundesliga-stadium, the Commerzbank-Arena - home of Eintracht Frankfurt and home-place of the last year’s DNC-winner from Germany.

 

 
The teams had passed 25 regional tournaments in the weeks before and met to determine the winning team representing Germany at the World Final in Brazil in October 2009.

 

In an exciting final in front of 2,500 spectators and Charly Körbel, former player of Eintracht Frankfurt, the team Lichterfelder FC Berlin won against the team Reinickendorfer Füchse (2:1).

 

 

In addition to excellent football, the players and spectators faced a lot of action in the fun parc and the huge tombola with very valuable prices. A great moment for everybody!
