We hereby would like to inform you that the final of the 10th edition of the DNC which was supposed to be held from the 8th to the 11th October in Sao Paulo, Brazil is postponed.
This decision, taken after careful consideration, is clearly linked to the global developments in the pandemic influenza A H1N1.
Even though it is difficult to disappoint the kids, the safety and wellbeing of all participating children of the Danone Nations Cup is the absolute priority for Danone. We are fully aware of the involvement of all the children in this sporting event, primarily through the national tournaments held throughout the year and especially the dream that their participation in the World Final represents for them.
We also understand the disappointment of the parents and all the partners for whom this event is an exceptional dream.
Nevertheless our commitment on behalf of our partners and children, for whom this event is an exceptional dream, is to organize the World Final to 2010 in the best conditions.
Therefore, the World Final of the Danone Nations Cup is delayed until 2010, and not cancelled, so that your child can live this sportive and human adventure.
This is only a postponement, so join us in 2010, the year of the Football World Cup!
We will inform you about the new date very soon on the DNC Website.
