Alfredo TenaFrom Danone’s Social Responsibility, the history of the Nations Cup is the story of a dream of million of children came true, who live and love football soccer.   

 

 

 

 

 

The practice of this sport is undoubtedly a beneficial activity since it fosters healthy lifestyles based on good nutrition and physical activity. In 2008, the international tournament of the Danone Nations Cup gathered 2.5 million children from 5 continents, from which great football characters have emerged, as national selected Giovanni Dos Santos.

 

 

 

 

During 2008, the Danone Nations Cup tournament in Mexico gathered more than 2 thousand children from cities such as: Mexico City, Cuernavaca, Pachuca, Monterrey and, Guadalajara. The Escuela America Satelite 96 was the team who represented the tricolor team at the international tournament based in Paris, France.

In 2009, the national tournament had more ambitious goals; this is why Danone Mexico became an ally of one of the most popular teams of the country. Then Nations Cup was played on June 13th to June 28th at the facilities of Club America, located in Satelite, Ajusco and, Coapa. Thus, nearly 2300 children were able to play in professional fields.
